Faithful with Little

“Unless you’re faithful in small matters, you won’t be faithful in large ones.” Luke 16:10 NLT

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can be trusted with much.” Luke 16:10 NIV

This verse is small and taken way out of context but has stuck with me for the past few weeks.  I think about it as I clean our small apartment, water our handful of plants, and tend to the responsiblilities in life right now.  I ask God to bless us as we are faithful with taking care of what he has given us to do today.  I ask him to bless the beginnings of Dave’s dream business, to bless our efforts to take care of our plants, to be diligent with the money we earn.  The picture of the strawberries we have growing on our porch reminds me of the dreams that Dave and I have.  Dreams to someday own land and plant things that will feed us and sustain our family.  Plans to build a house and have children and own small businesses that allow us to spend time working together and time with our children teaching them to love work as well.
