Dave’s Quilt

June 19th, 2008

Christmas 2004, I made Dave a quilt as a present. It deeply blessed him. I finished it at the end of finals week my first semester at HSU and left it as a surprise on his bed right before I left for home at Christmas. He has loved it, relaxed and slept with it ever since and the backing fabric was worn out. It riped and continued to rip. This week I took the quilt to my mom’s house and we revamped it giving it a new batting and backing. Now Dave is snuggling beneath his quilt again.

Oregon Tote

I completed the knitting of this bag a few days ago thanks to support from Jen Porter. She kept me going through some hard to understand knitting lingo. She’s a pro. The felting process was a lot simpler then I expected and I love the sturdiness and look it gives the bag. I did it, I took time to do what I love and completed a project well.

Susan Branch

March 28th, 2008

Susan Branch has become a household name around the Davison apartment. Her books are amazing and full of wonderful homey, comforting, creative and simple ideas. Her watercolor art work is amazing. Dave knows that it is a sure fire gift idea for me. He got me a beautiful calendar for Christmas that hangs on our kitchen wall. Each month I excitedly turn up the page and welcome in the new month by reading all the wonderful ideas she shares on there. Our month of April is gearing up to be a busy one.

April (not the month, Dave’s stepmom and our friend) sent me the ‘Love’ book and I’m lovin it.
